I'm a big admirer of most of Davis' work, especially everything between 'Filles de Kilimanjaro' ('67) and 'Big Fun' ('72). But by the time of his life shown here, he was a sellout, his music was best suited for shopping centers, and he looked like the puppet from 'Trilogy of Terror', only with padded shoulders. He was also snorting the equivalent of El Salvador's GNP in cocaine on a daily basis. But the man put out so much wonderful music, I prefer to forget about this era and focus on his more brilliant periods.
